Guides and best practices
Let's talk about templates in Released. If you're not using them yet, you're missing out on a tool that can save you time and ensure consistency across your product updates. Templates help you create polished, professional updates without breaking a sweat.
Wanna see templates in action? Watch this short, 5 minute demo.
Why templates are your best friend
Ever wonder which heading style to use for a section? Maybe just make the section title bold? And what should we call the section anyway—Bug-fixes, Bugfixes, or Bug fixes?
That's where templates come in. They allow you to create a standard format for your updates, so you don't have to reinvent the wheel each time. Consistency is key in maintaining a professional image. And templates ensure that your updates always have the same look and feel.
But Templates in Released can do so much more than that. With AI blocks you can auto-generate the content for each section. Just select the block style and issue types to use in the block, and the Templates will handle the rest. Templates can even create an intro and title for you post, based on the content of the issues featured.
Using templates
Once you've created your template, you will have a choice to start a new post with an empty page, or by using your template. Opt for the template, and it’ll show you the number of issues it’ll include, plus give you a quick heads-up on how long it'll take to generate the post.
Once you click the “Generate post” button, all the hard work is done for you. All that’s left to do is edit the post to make sure it’s perfect. Add some images, videos, and hit that publish button.
Now go and give them a try! Your future self will thank you.
