It’s really easy to create a basic roadmap in tools like Powerpoint, Miro or Confluence. Even easier in dedicated roadmapping tools like Aha or Productboard.

But it’s surprisingly hard to publish roadmaps and keep them up to date.

Communicating plans with sales and marketing teams, stakeholders, or customers requires different levels of detail and information. Typically, this results in a hodgepodge of the above tools being used. It's not ideal. It makes it hard to find roadmaps, and even if you do, they probably out of date.

On the other hand, sharing your Jira roadmaps with stakeholders is often not an option. There’s too much detail, and some stakeholders may not even have access to Jira.

So we did something about it…

Introducing Released Roadmaps

Easy to create and share

Released Roadmaps make it incredibly simple to create a cross-project view of your plans in Jira and share them with your teams or customers. You can share them in Confluence, embed them in your website, or access them within related Jira projects.

They are designed to be simple, showing only the fields you want to share and hiding everything else. They look great in both dark and light modes and are accessible without a Jira license. You control who has access by embedding them in pages accessible to the right audience.

Always up to date

They are easy to keep up to date. They automatically update as your tickets move through the planning and development process. All you need to do is hit “publish” to share the latest version, maintaining full control over what’s shared.

How it works

  1. Choose what you want to to share it.

Select the issues you want to share. Filter by issue type, label, version, or use the full power of JQL (Jira Query Language) to create custom views.

  1. Choose how you want to share it.

Customize columns and how your issues map to them. Select exactly which fields to show, and which to hide.

  1. Publish!

Publish your roadmap to share it with your team, stakeholders or customers.

Released Roadmaps are available today to all Released customers at no additional cost.
